I'd have to assume it's Bantamweight. As mentioned, outstanding background and already has a fairly high profile with the public. A real talent it would seem.
What weight class is he going to debut at?
Yeah I guess we'd have heard otherwise if there were other plans. I suppose it is a little interesting given McDonnell holds a belt there.I'd have to assume it's Bantamweight.
I assume bantam but he was mentioning super feather and lightweight in the press conferenceAs mentioned, outstanding background and already has a fairly high profile with the public. A real talent it would seem.

These are a far easier sell. He could start at feather which is basically identical to the limit he was operating at as an amateur.I assume bantam but he was mentioning super feather and lightweight in the press conference
If they fight every six weeks or so it is alright. Otherwise I agree. Campbell has already been in with good operators of his size in the amateurs. He also is, or at least should be, accustomed to the spotlight. There little point in squashing jobbers for the next year.I'm sure I read he was going to start at Super Featherweight. Or am I just imagining that?
I actually think his style was ideally suited to the Amateurs and that he'll have a little bit of adjustingto do in the pro ranks. BUT he is technically very sound so that should be no problem and I imagine he'll have a successful pro career. What I would like to see though, and which never happens enough with our best amateurs, is for him to bypass the meaningless pushover type of fights at the start. Get him in with Area level fighters straight away and look for English titles within a year. No point in taking backward steps
Yep that's how I see it. Yafai has done that route facing someone once a month but has now had some time off, got injured and seems to have lost that momentum. I agree with fighting regularly but not just for the sake of it- they need to be learning things and progressingIf they fight every six weeks or so it is alright. Otherwise I agree.
