How come Lindsey was aloud to fight someone 2 weight divisions above him? In pro/licensed boxing, could Be pretty dangerous...

I imagine they would have done a second weigh in on the day with the new opponent coming in so the weight difference wouldn't have been that much.

apparently dude was 17pounds heavier than lindsey... i just dont understand how a fighter can be 2 divisions heavier than another fighter and be sanctioned...

also is there a maximum difference in pounds fighters can be for a fight to be held at a 'catch weight'?

yeah i see what you guys are saying, but the fights mentioned where supposed to be at a specific weight, and the fighters had to 'try' to make the weight or weighted in on the day at the weight, then blew up over night for the fight... but seems this dude was scheduled to fight on the same card at a higher weight, then pulled out as a last second as a replacement for lindsey, so he knew all along it was fighting a 2 weights above his weight... pretty bad really... oh well, who gives a schitt really lol
