Where would he go next?

It would be a great introduction to the group of Barker, Macklin, Murrey, Saunders & to a lessor degree Hope.

If hope does not get blown a way early by Barker a Celtic title fight v McEwen would be a nice introduction

PF is at 154 so I think he could face the Rose-Webb winner or maybe they go after Rabchenko for the European. Alternatively if he goes to MW then maybe Proksa or if Hope beat Barker or looked decent in defeat could see that happening

Is it 154lb? Prizefighter is normally over the division limit

McEwan won't be eligible to fight for the European as he'll have never fought under the light middleweight limit. Prizefighter is at 156.

Edit: Nevermind, he came in at 153lbs 11oz.

Not bashing this tournament more asking the question...

Is Prizefighter really a stepping stone to better things?

What's Choi doing now? and what's that American dude who won the international prizefighter doing now?... not much by the looks of things?

I think it's become less and less of a stepping stone. If you look at the recent winners:

Travis Dickinson - Nothing
Rocky Fielding - English title
Mike Perez - 17 months on gets a step up away from home in an 8 rounder
Yassine El Maachi - Nothing
Robert Lloyd-Taylor - Nothing
Lee Haskins - European title he was already in line for
Choi - Yordan fight away
Adil Anwar - Won eliminators he was due anyway
Eamonn O'Kane - Nothing
Tor Hamer - Nothing
Terry Flannigan - Nothing (only just won tbf)

The only thing most of them have really got out of it is a cheque for £32k.

jesus i didnt realise it had got that bad opportunities wise, tbf the one eamonn o kane was in was matchroom giving him a showcase, which he fucked up by being a horrible messy mauling fighter in every bout, i think they wanted perez to sign with them after but he's lazy, but the rest, ye nothings going for them

Audley's career picked up again afterwards tbf, even if he didnt make the most of the opportunities he was given.

tbf I think a lot of the time it's the fighters/promoters fault for not capitalising on winning Prizefighter. Most winners seem to have a trend of not fighting soon enough afterwards seemingly because they expect to walk into a relatively big fight off the back of PF.
