I disliked him for ducking Khan when they were 1 and 2 in the division and choosing to be inactive for fucking ages before facing casamayor instead. His fans were all 'nah its not a duck. Hes just not fihhting him because he doesnt what to take the risk' and I was all ' Thats the definition of a duck lad'.

Im over it now though. Balloon head.

He turned down the Khan fight because he wanted to get away from Gary Shaw.

He ducked Khan to fight an easier opponent in Manny Pacquiao?
A year later...

This is why people were claiming it wasnt a duck, because he didn't want tl risk a pac payday. Avoiding a fighter because you dont want to risk a loss is whats known as a duck. And he didnt fight pac instead, he fought Casamayor and was largely inactive instead.

I dont know the ins and outs of that but promotional issues are used as an excuse for everything these days.
Because they're often a huge barrier. I personally think Bradley would have beaten Khan and it'd look like an amazing win as Khan's hype was probably at it's highest about then.

Either way, you can't disrespect that performance.

Why would anyone hate Tim Bradley? The guy's awesome. He's entertaining, has a ton of heart and was just involved in one of the fights of the year.

Yesterday there were people on a boxing related facebook page saying they hope he dies in the ring because he didn't deserve the decision against Pacquiao. I think that's one of the most disgusting things, wishing death upon somebody who fights for your entertainment.

People do hate him, and it's fucking stupid. He has so much heart. More than just about any active fighter.

Well that's obviously just idiots. I wouldn't pay much attention to comments like that.

Bradley seems like a sound geezer. I've always had time for the fellow even though he's normally in fairly dull fights. He always comes in good shape and gives it his all so can't see why anyone would hate him.

That said, I've always maintained he isn't as good as he is made out to be sometimes, I mean he's a solid world level guy but that's his level imo but he'll never be an elite guy, he is technically as skilled as the Mayweathers/Wards of the world, hasn't got a great defence (not a bad one either though) and has no dig (at the level he fights at), he's also pretty slow and his workrate can be poor.

He does what he does well though and he'll give just about anyone a good fight bit he aint going to be the top dog in boxing at any point. He was widely outpointed by Pacquaio (10-2 on my card) and I'd take Garcia and especially Matthysse over him. Khan would cause him problems as well as Bradley doesn't have the one punch power to derail him (although I wouldn't rule him out of stopping him).

Good boxer but will get found out sooner rather than later (nearly happened last night).

I disliked him a little bit for his fighting style i.e. his excessive use of the head because and he wasn't that entertaining really before his last two bouts.

I actually sympathised with him post-Pacquiao, I thought Pac won but not half as emphatically as people think and Bradley showed incredible courage fighting on two bad legs. Last night was equally awe-inspiring, his will to win is as great as i've seen.

He deserves a decent break because last night was punishing (I hope he got well paid at least), the type of fight that can leave the winner slightly diminished.
