Daniel Geale is to be stripped of his WBA 160lb title if he goes ahead with the planned rematch with Anthony Mundine instead of facing Gennady Golovkin. Sturm avoided Golovkin for over a year and when he was given the ultimatum of facing Geale or Golovkin, he chose Geale (Whom he lost to). This passed on the responsibility of facing Golovkin onto Daneil Geale.

Errybody up in this ducking GGG. Is GGG the most avoided fighter in boxing today? IMO he is, and there is no close second.

I personally think the WBA are a little out of order here. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Geale vs Golovkin, but Geale vs Mundine isn't too bad. It makes sense money wise, and Geale can avenge his only career loss. I think the WBA should have allowed him 1 optional defence before forcing the mandatory on him.

In contrast, Canelo has defended his title 6 times, with only one of them being a mandatory defence (Rhodes). The WBC has now said he is allowed 1 more optional defence before he has to fight a mandatory, which is disgusting.

Yeah but it's all unfair on GGG really. Geale knew he'd be stripped if he didn't face him. It was a duck.

Now, who is the most avoided fighter in boxing in your opinion?

Considering how long Sturm avoided his mandatory it's pretty disgusting they've done this to Geale tbg. Watch Sturm get a fight for an interim or regular belt now.

Golovkin has moved up now anyway.

Most avoided fighter? He'd be up there. So would Rigo, Molina

Could be Golovkin, Carlos Molina's a good shout as well. Maybe Lara?

I agree with Vano. They let Strum do as he pleased when he had the belt.

I don't.

Why should Golovkin be frozen out even longer, when he's done his part, just because the belt changed hands?
Don't get me wrong, I really want to see Geale - Golovkin. But they let Sturm do as he wanted as Gilfoid said. Plus even tho they've made him the full champion, GGG has moved up anyway. So now Sturm will probably get to fight for his old title again. Just a ploy to make money IMO
