Is WBC serious???

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said in his recent interview to ESPN that Amir or Alvarez have to face GGG after their match on May 7. Otherwise Canelo strip will happen from the WBC middleweight title. What your views? Is this gonna happen??

Think so, WBC has been doing good things recently and I support Mauricio if he's truthfull about it all.

It's one of like 6 belts in the division. Who cares? Besides BOSSNELO ain't a MW so tomato can crusher can fight some cabby for another "meaningful" belt.

All the while little g wants Kell Brook (WW) at 157, retired ATG Flomo at 154, refuses to fight Wars unless it's at 164 (Adv. little g), refuses to fight BOSSNELO unless it's at 160 (Adv little g), and refuses to fight Bhop at 168-170.

Man why do all these ppl keep ducking lil g?!?!?

I pray to God he follows through on it THIS time... But that means GGG and his team has to tell Canelo and GBP they are not willing to make any other deals... The title should have BEEN stripped.

So far the new WBC President is doing a great job. This will be his first real head to head with a star, particularly one of Mexican descent. I really hope he's serious and would peg the likelihood at 75%.

It would be nice if the Ring also stripped him of the title if his bitch ass doesn't fight GGG and keeps insisting on a catchweight.

This is the only reasonable action IMO.

How long as Golovkin been a mandatory for this title? The significance of this belt has gone into disrespute ever since Cotto won it. Even before then Martinez was holding things up with injuries and cherry picking. Ridiculous the extent that wbc will go for its cronies. Time for Muaricio to stand in and make the title great again

This is old news by now.

- and it's almost meaningless because Mauricio didn't have the balls to insist that it would be at 160. He basically said NOTHING.

And of course, Mauricio is the reason we now have this 155 catchweight mess in the first place.

He's also the reason we had to wait almost a year for Wilder-Povetkin, giving in three times to Sasha's primadonna ways.

He's also the reason Wilder-Stiverne took so bloody long to happen.

I did like some of the "reform" things Sulaiman was trying to do when he first took over, but that turned out to be mostly just big talk. Nothing ever really came of it.

It's pretty hard to claim that he's doing "A pretty good job."

Hard to like any of the alphabets but WBC seem to be doing better now that Sulaiman Jr is in charge. Let's see if they stick to their word and strip Canelo if he shamefully swerves Gennady.
