All set to be officially announced soon but reports are that everything has been agreed for the Canadian superfight between Jean Pascal and Lucian Bute to go ahead at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on May 25th. The fight will take place at light-heavyweight and will be broadcast on HBO.

Chad Dawson will fight on the undercard - after being paid step-aside money to withdraw from his own scheduled rematch with Pascal - and HBO will also televise the Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler rematch on a delay on the same night as part of a triple header.

A very bold claim. Why do you think that?
I think Pascal probably hits that bit harder than Froch, especially early in fights. Bute's confidence is also massively hurt. He looked awful at times against Grachev, and seemed to be hurt on occasion too. Pascal also has a pretty solid chin, and at 175, I can't see Bute being able to trouble him from the outset. I think Bute will try to box (like he did against Grachev), but be tagged (like he was against Grachev).

AFter Pascal KOs Bute in Rd 4, that will be the end of Bute, except in Canada.
The good ending will be that Pascal will take his place as Canada's number 1 fighter.
ye the winner of this does become the premier draw in Canada, there's a lot at stake

i want bute to win, and keep on winning because ward vs bute still interests me and i have no idea why
Don't hold your breath for this. There really is no reason for Ward to fight Bute. When he beats him, there is nothing gained. I don't think the networks would be interested in this match-up since Bute got completely demolished by Froch and will very likely get KTFO by Pascal.
I think Ward will move up to LHW and fight Hopkins.

So, does that mean you placing your bets on Bute? I think Pascal should come in as the betting favoite and Bute as the underdog.
Nah, more intrigued as to why he isn't training Floyd - he seems fine in the video.

I've got no idea who wins this, mainly because I don't know what kind of Lucien Bute or Jean Pascal will turn up.
