Just posted a thread on Facebook, wishing the 'Legend' a happy birthday, got a few hating replys. How do you fellas rate his legacy? :think
Doesn't really matter what the reason is, at least for me. It just annoys me@Roe, the 'punching thing' has been explained many times over.
Fair enough. :confDoesn't really matter what the reason is, at least for me. It just annoys me
I admit I'm biased here but I don't think that's that ludicrous.I remember a thread on ESB not long ago where people were justifying having Froch ranked above him...
Well I'd like to see you try and justify it thenI admit I'm biased here but I don't think that's that ludicrous.
Robin ReidWell I'd like to see you try and justify it then![]()
:amirWhy are you crediting Froch with Ward and Kessler?
Umm because he fought them both? Sure he lost decisions and I'd say Calzaghe is just about ahead at the moment but I still don't think it's that much of a stretch to say Froch has a better record. Why are you crediting Froch with Ward and Kessler?
 Sorry, but not for me.Robin Reid

And Froch hasn't retired yet.
Better set of fights, doesn't equal better fighter, for me at least. Froch was beaten by what could be considered a lesser version of Kessler than that which Calzaghe beat, and also Ward. If that was Froch's list of wins I'd be right with you.Robin Reid

I think you could argue that it was a better version of Kessler. He was fighting in his own country and had nearly 3 years more experience than the one that Calzaghe fought.Better set of fights, doesn't equal better fighter, for me at least. I guess your right, its a good old debatable point . And I wouldn't argue that Calzaghes is far ahead, but by the same rule I'd put the Lacy win in the same bracket as Froch's Bute win. Its possible Froch eclipses Joe in his next few fights, but not like IMO.I think you could argue that it was a better version of Kessler. Calzaghe's record really isn't that far ahead IMO.
