Jones v Brook would have been such an easy sell.... Someone's '0' has gotta go......

Jones with his glass chin, lunging hooks & right hands would be countered all day long by Brook...

saying that, Bailey's purse was £100k... Should be no problem whatsoever to get him over to Sheffield.

Matchroom gotta get in there quick though... Malignaggi & especially Khan will be chasing the fight big time.

Bailey is one of the hardest punchers of this era. I'm not certain Jones is all that chinny.

I'm also not sure that Brook's mid-range game will not see him get twitted at some point. Bailey would be a stern test of Brook's discipline. He probably has all the tools to shut Bailey down, far less sloppy than Jones, but he's never been clobbered by a guy like Bailey and might not come across a banger of his ilk again.

8oz gloves too, can't see that helping matters against a banger.
Yeah, and fair play to both men for wearing 'em, I say bring back 6 & 4oz, it's the only way :yep

Imagine Floyd with them, aah doubt it.

But yeah mate, smaller gloves for the win. Would definitely produce more ko's and therefore more interest into the sport. That's the reason I love UFC, watch Evans v Lidell and see the damage caused off a single punch ;)

Boxing is good with 8's, hate seeing pillows like PBF v ODLH, what were they, 12's?

I'm not convinced about Kell's chin either way, he's just not been hit enough to really say.

If he imposes himself on Bailey and backs him up, there's no reason why he can't win with relative ease.

Let's remember he'll probably be the bigger, stronger man in there. These are the sort of fights he needs to be able to win - at some point he's going to have to face a dangerous banger. Might as well do it now, when said opponent is in his late 30's and hasn't really beaten many people of note, certainly none without question marks over them anyway.

When I was a young bloke Ams used to use 8oz gloves and no daft headgear......Glove weight is more to do with protecting a fighters hands than it is the other boxers health.
Agreed hence why Joe Calzaghe and Mayweather like big gloves. Thing is most fights go to points nowadays. If we had more ko's would more casuals be interested, I think so. I'm a big fan of small gloves. If another fighter wants bigger gloves, then fair enough but they must wear them rather than force other fight into doing so I.e Froch 8oz v Calzaghe 10/12oz.

Smaller gloves might mean more KOs...i'm not convinced of the connection....but you would certainly see less flamboyant footwork and more chess matches with both fighters trying to gauge distance properly
