Jonjo Finnegan is in intensive care today after undergoing brain surgery following defeat to Lincoln's Ryan Clark last night.
The popular Burton On Trent boxer is in a stable condition *****after being knocked out in the sixth round of Clark's defence of the International Masters title.

Medical staff quickly dived into the ring at Burton Town Hall to attend to Finnegan (32), who was later transferred to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.

Carl Greaves, Clark's manager, Tweeted this morning: "Just to let everyone know, the doctors are pleased with how the operation went.

"Jonjo is now on a ventilator and is stable but in intensive care."

A devastated Clark wrote: "I hate myself so much right now. Wish I could turn back time and just give him my belt. I did not mean to hurt anyone that bad.*****
"It is boxing - could have happened to any of us. You are in my prayers, Jonjo."
