Joyi is going to Mexico next month (August 18) to defend his title against Mario Rodriguez:

This will be his second fight in the space of five months, which is very active for Joyi (he has had just four fights in the last three years).

Joyi annoys me. He's an ace fighter but fights nowhere near often enough and stays at strawweight, which he's pretty damn big at. Hopefully this actually marks a change, but I won't be holding my breath over it.

Rodriguez is on a decent run lately, he's the dude that beat Gilberto Keb Bass earlier on this year isn't he? Not that Bass is all that good, but Mario's better than his numbers suggest anyways. I'd still expect Mabere to win comprehensively though.

One of the most frustrating fighters for me as well @Pabby No reason he couldn't be up at Fly fighting the likes of Segura, Concepcion, even Mayol, let alone Marquez or Viloria. So the fact he's not even at light fly gunning for Gonzalez blackens my heart even further.

This is fairly active for him, but the last few years have been painful.
