Got a LOT to live up to after all the hype from Spencer and Ajayi. Be interesting to see how they match him cos it's hard knocks and they apparently don't do 50/50. I'm a fan of the promotion but if this kids that good, lets see him matched hard. I just don't see that happening and i don't see a special fighter personally. Not saying he can't do well domestically etc..

i dont know from a boxing standpoint is all this fanfare really realastic or is it abit strange giving that he has 12 fights and hasnt boxed since he was 15 its based on gym rumours and padwork which to me looks shit...i like otou and tunde is a very charasamtic guy but ?????? this is boxing and at end of day whether he hits pads well or not it means fuck all when theres a man punching u tryna take ur head off. Good luck to both of them tho.

Is it true he's only had 15 amateur bouts and spars once a week?

It takes a special fighter to turn pro this early against people in their physical prime. I'm not against it, but its something that is very unique to the individual, and with this little actual combat experience you'd have to question it.

Disaster written all over it, I'm afraid.

There was a lot of hype surrounding Saba about 3-4 years ago, but it seemed to die down pretty quickly (probably due to his less than stellar amateur record, including Jack Bateson handling him rather comfortably).

I remember Ajayi predicting he'd be at the Olympics this year

Yep it is, Basically they are copying anything and everything of Floyd's regime. I don't dislike the kid he seems nice enough from interviews i've seen but i think the bubble may well get burst quite early with this kid.

feels really weird watching all this, has anyone seen him fight, his pad work looks harmless .

just all seems bollocks to me all this hype, bit like fucking TOWIE :think
at the end of the day. this is boxing, the kid will have to step in the ring all the talking will stop and it will be him and the other guy he wont have spencer bigging up him or tunde slapping his hands with pads, he will have someone with 8 ounce gloves on coming to give him a hiding. thats wer the reality will set in and lets c if he has it. i personally dont think he does but never know?? good luck to him but this is all abit over the top and the fanfare and ringside is ridiclous but good luckto him maybe im being overdramatic but thats me hahaha

I think turning pro could be a really bad error. I hope he's truly special, the more good fighters we produce the better so certainly wishing he proves us wrong. But he looks physically very underdeveloped. He shows good hand eye co-ordination, but surely he'd be better off staying in the amateurs for a couple more years? He can develop his actual in ring experience, develop physically, develop mentally and still turn pro very, very young. Let's be honest, losing in the amateurs is not that noteworthy, getting your arse handed to you as a pro is far more chastening. He risks ruining his stock completely in the pros if they've miscalculated. The vast majority of people are not Wilfred Benitez!
