There were a lot of close rounds though. Could give Martinez rounds 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. So I have no problem with a draw really. The 116-112 card was a bit "Leave it" but I can live with it. Burgos deserved the nod though.

For me the draw was a poor card but you could make a (weak) argument for it. 116-112, nah, there's no way you can give Martinez 8 rounds. Around 115-113 to 119-109 Burgos are all ok scorecards to me. Outside of that and you're pushing it.

116-112 to Burgos for me but there were a few closer rounds so I can kind of see the draw, even though I don't agree with it. I definitely saw more than 4 rounds for Burgos so the 116-112 card for Rocky is just wrong.

You're right there. I liked hearing Ward but he was only commentating on what Burgos did well, very one sided commentary.

The HBO commentary was pretty one sided towards Burgos. It's still clear he won though.

Burgos won that fight easily imo. He threw more, landed more and was more accurate throughout. His shots were far more hurtful to boot. Martinez gamely pressed the action but he just looked a level below his opponent. Awful scoring. Don't body shots count anymore?

May make first steps in boxing coaching in near future (hopefully very soon) waiting on the guy to call me with when and where he wants to train. Will make a thread if i get going :yep.

Cheers Jamie, it's hard work some clubs espicially the lower end of football league don't even reply yet the clubs you'd think wouldn't give a damn do.

Well depends on the guy, He doesn't live far. Was supposed to call me over weekend but hasn't maybe busy. He's on ESB won't give away his username but he said he's looking for some training. Hoping he still wants to do it :yep, One of the good posters there as well :lol:. If it was one of the trolls i'd be a bit worried :lol:..
