How do you guys see this one going?

Assuming Kell beats Carson Jones then I think he becomes the IBF #1 & mandatory challenger.

Is Kell too sharp & fresh or will Bailey take him out sooner or later?

I'll go brook but it's not something I'd be confident enough to bet on, he should be able to stay out of harms way

Bailey really didn't show much last night apart from his exceptional power, don't think Brook would be leaving himself open like Jones and might even close the show on Bailey once he times him. Of course there's always the "what if" Bailey clocks him with the power he possesses, that's what would make it a good fight.

You would have to say Brook but he would need to concentrate for every minute of every round, Bailey carry's raw power and could put him asleep.
I agree.

Unless Bailey bangs him out early, Kell losing this fight would be his own fault.

Bailey obviously isn't a turd by any means, but he's a limited banger who at the top level can only land the shots if the opponent puts himself in harms way. So long as Kell keeps his chin down he'd win this at a canter.

I think Brook would overwhelm Randall and get a late stoppage, If it happens I'm definitely putting a tenner on Bailey by KO though..Like Flea said in a previous thread, Bailey has freakish power and is one of the best punchers of his era.

Brook needs to be in there with someone like Bailey, he'll be nervous as hell, It's a massive test for Kell.

The more I think about this fight the more I like it. It could turn out to be a bit of a stinker if Brook is overly negative but you know one punch could end it so retains a bit of excitement.

If he can get through Carson jones who is all about getting the KO he can get past Bailey. I like the idea eddie Hearn mentioned though, brook vs Bailey on the Froch vs Kessler undercard in October, would pay ridiculous money for that.

I think the easiest way to beat Bailey is to back him up. Apply pressure with a high guard and keep him moving, don't let him come forward and throw bombs.

Not really Brook's natural game but we'll see what he's made of if this fight happens.

This is the easiest path to the title Kell could get, I actually think Carson Jones will give him a tougher fight than Bailey will.
Probably so.

As an aside, I'm not sure why so many promoters are scared of punchers. The majority of punchers these days are just that, and nothing more.

Brook's defensively a little naive and lacks full concentration, It's such a dangerous fight and he can't afford to fall asleep or step off the gas. It's a great fight really because in terms of boxing he should win rounds and dominate and have a great chance of winning a world title but Bailey's power keeps him in fight for the whole 12 rounds. So this presents Brook with a sorta sink of swim challenge that Jones couldn't get past.

@BoxingAnalyst Hmm from a round by round perspective Paulie presents more of a threat in terms of winning rounds and on points. His movement and speed of hand could well exploit Kell's sloppy defence early on. Kell though has fantastic accuracy and i think he'd slowly break Paulie down with the jab and right hands and hook of jab. He's a little slow of foot but he'd break Paulie down and win on points. Kell would have to shut Paulie down early though because if he let Paulie into a rhythm that would make it a harder night then needed.

Bailey is a one punch threat, Round by round Kell should be winning most rounds but it's a edge of your seat type fight. It's pretty close cos it's one extreme to another in terms of both fighters.
