Not much info at the minute but I presuming Khan has dropped Roach as he is wanting more one on one time. That in itself is fine and if he can get another top trainer who can dedicate more time to him then it could work out. The thing is I feel he is using the one on one time to disguise the fact that he has some major flaws that he needs to address.
If so then he is going to let his ego destroy him because if he doesn't address these flaws then I reckon we will be seeing the chicken dance more often in the future. Khan needs to know that his chin can't withstand going toe to toe in a division stacked with punchers, he can out box his opponent but he gets too excited, he is desperate need of composure and I'm not sure any coach can teach him that, that ones on him. he can't infight either which is poor for a guy that likes to trade up as much as Amir does and consistently finds himself backed on the ropes.
I got a feeling he is going to take a soft option next and then look for a fight with Ricky Hatton if he decides to return. I have no faith at the minute that Khan can hang with Matthysee, Garcia, Rios or Alvarado.
