Matthysse is the favourite at around 4/9 with Peterson best priced at 5/2.

Peterson will do better than most think. I think Matthysse's best shot is to rush him and take the fight from the word go. He does that and he breaks Peterson down for a stoppage in round 8 or 9. He'll be tested along the way though.

Matthyse will run him over imo, crush him inside 4.

Never been that impressed by lamont, he pushed Khan around a bit, not impressed by that, otherwise he almost got knocked out of the ring about 5 times by Ortiz before Ortiz remembered he was Ortiz.

Matthyse is no mug, he'll get it done.

I got Matthysse down for a late TKO. I think out of all the 140lbers that Peterson will be the toughest fight for him style wise. peterson can mix it up, he can brawl, box, has a good chin, has respectable power and has excellent will power.

I think Matthysse would smash Garcia, Khan and Rios - Alvorado would be a good fight though, I'd defo like to see that one (although unlikely due to promotional differences) as we will almost certainly not get Matthysse in with khan or Garcia if he wins.

Maidana would be a nice consolation though.

Peterson has high workrate and can box clever but he doesnt have the power to keep matthyse of so i think his best chance is to fight on the inside where matthyse is less comfortable imo and tie him up. But i think peterson will get tagged a lot in this fight and considering he was down against khan, bradley and Ortiz (twice) whether they were balance or not he has been down and matthyses power can certainly knock him of balance and if peterson does go down thats where i see him making mistakes to make up for it and i see an Olusegun type stoppage late on but with it being much more competitive early on

I expect Matthysse to be the agressor from the opening bell, but waits to go all out until the later rounds if the fight is even remotely close.

That's why the bout is at 141. So Garcia can't duck him without giving up the WBA "super duper" belt and it being clear to anyone.
