I think GBP will want to build the fight a bit more, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Matthysse take on Khan and then Garcia fight Alexander before an eventual Matthysse/Garcia clash. If Matthysse knocks both Khan and Garcia out, as I think he would, GBP have another star on their hands, so I think they'll want to handle him properly rather than just rush into a Garcia bout next.

Matthysse is a phenom. He walks through Garcia with ease.

I hope so because it would be a war. I've never been completely sold on Matthysee, but you can't fault that performance. It was one sided and a justification to those that have hyped him all these years.

If matthyse fought khan it'd be like having the bloody mess perk on the fallout games, where if you got a headshot every single part of your enemy's anatomy would fly off and explode. Khan should stay the fuck away from him.
Matthyse versus Garcia would be a war. I've got a lot of time for Danny, but the way he reacted to zab's power at times makes me think matthyse could get to him.

I'm unsure as to what the outcome will be to be honest.

Garcia's underwhelming display against Zab wouldn't be what they'd want as a ''warm up'' for Matthysse.

Schaefer is still angling for Khan vs Floyd, it wouldn't surprise me if they put Matthysse in with Judah as a ''revenge mission'', and they might run with Garcia vs Maidana perhaps. That's a fight that Danny ought to be able to win, and Matthysse would put Judah away in style I think.

They'll keep Khan away from those two and perhaps go with Alexander, who is probably the most beatable of that group in and around 140-147.

I'd be amazed if they took the gamble and went with either Matthysse or Garcia II. Matthysse would literally behead him, and against Garcia it'd probably be a repeat of the first fight, Khan appearing to do alright with left hooks whizzing past his chin with regularity before one clocks him and keeps him down.

Khan is at the crossroads, literally. They need to either re-build him properly over a couple of years, starting with another Diaz level opponent, or just make the Floyd fight now and say :hi:

Sooner or later he's going to get chinned by an opponent not named Floyd/Manny/Juan Manuel and then the game will be up.

Khan could potentially be the sacrificial lamb...

Any way, there's going to be some fireworks at 140 unless they all turn into duckers.

Really hope it doesn't turn into another 160 scenario, or heavyweight, with hardly any of the contenders facing each other, instead facing stiffs/used up names for ever and a day.

Matthysse would destroy both Khan and Garcia imo - both wouldn't go past four rounds. I thought style wise Peterson would be his toughest test in the division and he destroyed him. Both Garcia and Khan are there to be hit and do get hit in every fight and that just aint gonna get you through a few rounds past Matthysse.

I think a clever boxer is what you need, basically be very cagey like Peterson was in the first round and pick shots whilst going on the backfoot. Going to war with someone who has momentous power and thus far seems to have a solid mandible just isn't a good idea.

Even though they wont be made, I would love to see him fight both Rios and Alvorado.
