I think GBP will want to build the fight a bit more, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Matthysse take on Khan and then Garcia fight Alexander before an eventual Matthysse/Garcia clash. If Matthysse knocks both Khan and Garcia out, as I think he would, GBP have another star on their hands, so I think they'll want to handle him properly rather than just rush into a Garcia bout next.
Matthysse is a phenom. He walks through Garcia with ease.
I'm unsure as to what the outcome will be to be honest.
Garcia's underwhelming display against Zab wouldn't be what they'd want as a ''warm up'' for Matthysse.
Schaefer is still angling for Khan vs Floyd, it wouldn't surprise me if they put Matthysse in with Judah as a ''revenge mission'', and they might run with Garcia vs Maidana perhaps. That's a fight that Danny ought to be able to win, and Matthysse would put Judah away in style I think.
They'll keep Khan away from those two and perhaps go with Alexander, who is probably the most beatable of that group in and around 140-147.
I'd be amazed if they took the gamble and went with either Matthysse or Garcia II. Matthysse would literally behead him, and against Garcia it'd probably be a repeat of the first fight, Khan appearing to do alright with left hooks whizzing past his chin with regularity before one clocks him and keeps him down.
Khan is at the crossroads, literally. They need to either re-build him properly over a couple of years, starting with another Diaz level opponent, or just make the Floyd fight now and say :hi:
Sooner or later he's going to get chinned by an opponent not named Floyd/Manny/Juan Manuel and then the game will be up.
