Huh. That's interesting. I mean, it seems early to already throw Thurman to the wolves already. The guy has yet to fight a live body...nobody even in the top 50, and now he's going to be fighting Marcos Maidana? It's an interesting move. Either they are really confident in Thurman or they see no value in him and have decided to cash him out already. I'm not sure why Fat Dan doesn't like it. It might very well be just a brutal one sided affair, but both fighters bring the heat. It should be an entertaining fight nonetheless.

Surely Maidana should be getting bigger fights than that.

As mentioned above, Thurman hasn't really fought anybody yet and he's relatively unknown. Not sure what's in it for Maidana.

:happy This is the gypsy guy I was following on boxrec a few years ago. New nothing about him other than he'd been KO'ing nearly every bum he fought. Glad he's finally got a good fight.
