Heavyweight Dereck Chisora may become the next boxer to jump ship from Frank Warren to promotional rival Eddie Hearn. Chisora (15-4, 9KOs) returns on Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London, facing Hector Avila in a tuneup fight. At today's weigh-in, Chisora told several reporters that he was upset with Warren and also revealed that he was working with the veteran promoter on a fight by fight basis.
Hearn's company, Matchroom, announced earlier today that he plans to reveal a "major signing" on Tuesday in London, which has led to speculation that Chisora could be jumping over. If the rumors are true, then Chisora would join Tony Bellew, Kell Brook, Ricky Burns and George Groves on the growing list of fighters who were once promoted by Warren and are now under Hearn's banner.
