As many of you may know I've had a man crush on Lucas for some time, and I feel more justified now. Is there anyone who can stop this beast? It seems the only way to stop him is maybe to be a tricky southpaw? But even that only bides you time whilst he works you out

Would be interesting to see somebody put him on the backfoot. Clinch him, push him back and fire combo's. Haven't seen what he's like when things don't go his way.

Man the Judah fight was close. I'm sure ive scored it to both men but I might watch it again so I can have conviction on the matter.

That's rematch that should happen though, noone else has been as competitive with Lucas. I'd like to see him face Garcia. Defend against khan and Judah and then move up to face maidana then mayweather.

Why wasn't the IBF title on the line last night?
Both fighters weighed in at 141 so no title was on the line.

Very happy that Matthysse is finally getting some recognition, I too have been a big fan of his for a while. Looking forward to him getting some big fights and a bit of backing from Golden Boy which he has desperately needed for a few years.

If Khan beat him it would be one of the best wins ever by a British boxer.

Matthysse isn't and won't be an ATG, but stylistically he's kryptonite for Khan.

The power though.... he's going to get clipped at some stage, and when he does, that'll be that.

Matthysse sparked Dallas jr with what appeared to be little more than a cuffing right hook to the head. Khan is especially vulnerable to hooks, he can't see them coming and has no defence against them. Actual straight shots to the chin he appears to take much better - albeit not all that well.

I want to see him fight Mayweather. Floyd would be a huge favourite but at least Matthysse has the X factor in his punching power to at least give you the impression he has a chance of causing the upset. With Floyd basically saying he wont fight Alvarez then there isn't a better fight out there for him either.

It'll not happen but I get the feeling Garcia aint gonna want this fight next and Khan said he wants it so why dont they do it at 147 and let the winner fight Floyd.

Yes the Judah fight was close but what I will say on that is that was his first step up in class. The best name he'd faced upto that point was a shot Vivian Harris. Since that fight he certainly has improved.

Like many I thought he beat Alexander and Judah (although the Zab fight was close) but before tonight I wasn't overly sold on Matthysse. I rated him and he was doing everything right, I just wasn't quite sure whether he was worthy of some of the hype he was getting. I think now he's proved it. And it's not just stopping Peterson, quite a few before have had Lamont hurt so it wasn't an amazing achievement to KO him but the way he did it I thought was special.

I'd also like to see him get the Mayweather fight, but the fight with Garcia to prove who's the proper #1 at light welter is also a great matchup.

it was and his improvement has been huge.

I think Judah fought smart though, kept him off balance with a constant jab and had probably the tightest defence hebuas ever employed. I think Judah bought into the matthyse hype before anyone cos he gave him shit loads of respect when few even gave him a chance.

Obviously Lucas would be favoured in a rematch but I dont like the notion that this should be universally regarded as a Lucas win. Genuine either way fight for me.
