Most people will jump right on mike in this match up, But i really Rate Max, I think if he had taken the sport much more serious he would be held in much higher regards, what are your thoughts History fans?

Baer would be far too sloppy and crude to really consistently catch Mike, IMO. I do feel he'd give Tyson some mild trouble by catching him with a few well-placed punches, and Baer wouldn't be going anywhere for a few rounds.

Ultimately I feel Tyson breaks Maxie down with his blistering body attack and gets him out of there.

Ok this is where I get told off but I think that with tyson's usual fast start he does some early damage by getting on the inside quickly and punching to the body then switching to the head . Max for me would stick around for a while and as said would catch Tyson and with enough power I think to get tyson's respect . But by the 7 th the body shots and the combonation of tyson's speed and power would put max in a bad place . I can't see this going past the 8th

Don´t get me wrong, I´m not one of those who think Baer was awful.....but there is a difference in class here in terms of skills far too great in my view....and it´s not like Baer´s best asset is something that Tyson didn´t have!

allthough maxie could take some punishment. alot of punishment. what happens if mike doesn't ko maxie within the first 5 rounds ?

i would put my money on tyson but its not liek this match up is like 99 to 1 in favor of tyson.

max had 2 things going he was very very strong. and he could really really take a punch. joe louis had to punch him alot of times before taking him down.

tyson what would happen if he couldn't intimedate max and couldn't knock him out in the first 5 ?

Prime Tyson wins in seven - Baer open style is too easy for Mike to take advantage of. His incredible chin would allow him a few extra rounds.

Post-Prison Tyson loses in 11 - Baer won't struggle with one-punch Tyson. He'll be easy to hit with his cement right and the fight would look a lot like the first Holyfield fight.

I rate Baer big time. One of the greatest (not technically, but nonetheless) right hands of all time, simply for the devastating effect it had.

Mike to win for me. Baer will try to maul mike and that is a massive stylistic asset for him because its one of the only qualities which can get the job done against him, but I don't see him as having the total package for this job. He stands off his opponents often and can leave himself wide open, that's a nightmare against Mike Tyson. Tyson's chin is great and I don't see those big right hands slaying him, Tyson's defense is brilliant and I see him coming off much better in the exchanges and stopping Baer around round 7

True louis hit him plenty before taking him down, and not denigrating the great JL but Max just stood there taking them.

tyson, like louis, was a great closer when he had them on the hop. I see the fight finishing similar
