Never was any doubt in my mind that this would happen one day. George Foreman is the quintessential "Rags to Riches" story. Born into poverty, becoming the heavyweight champion of the world, give it all up to preach and then the second phase of his boxing career to recapture the title decades after walking away from the ring the first time.

Then add to that his ventures into TV with his own sitcom, the George Foreman Grill advertising that made him millions and his self-deprecating sense of humor and you've got a hit in the making.

There's been movies about Joe Luis, Rocky Graziano, Jake LaMata, Muhammad Ali, Mickey Ward, Roberto Duran and other boxers over the years, so why not a story like George's.

Well, "Somebody Up There Likes Me" with Paul Newman as Graziano, and "Raging Bull" with DeNiro as LaMotta (the greatest film of the 1980's) were ATG movies, and "Cinderella Man" with Crowe as Braddock would have been with someone other than Opie at the helm, and Liev Schrieber was perfectly cast as Chuck Wepner (of course Ali played himself, so screw Will Smith's jug eared portrayal - only Ali could play Ali) but if you're going to do another biographical boxing film, Joe Frazier is a far better story, a far tougher boy from rural poverty with insane toughness, heart, and no quit in him, unlike George, who quit after Kinshasa, after Jimmy Young, after Shannon Briggs, and wanted no part of rematches with guys who took him the limit, or Jerry Quarry. (After George came back, the fearless Lyle also returned looking for him, but George wanted no part of the beast who gave him hell and took everything Shavers had before knocking him out.)

Could Foreman's story be a profitable movie when his sitcom wasn't?

Hey there guys! Tbh, I'm really excited to see the new boxing movie, "Big George Foreman", coming out soon. I'm sure the story will be great since it's about George Foreman, one of the best boxers ever. Btw, I've recently watched Rocky for the first time with my son. I'm so happy my son liked it because it's one of my favorite movies. Btw, what's your favorite หนังใหม่ 2022 about boxing (or any other kind of sport). Waiting for your replies, guys. Let's keep this discussion going.

Frazier was a great champion, although pretty much a "silent" one. Joe never got the media attention that Ali got during his career or Foreman got during the second incarnation of his career during his epic comeback to recapture the title.

Frazier outside the ring is a very forgettable guy to many fans of the sport and even more so to casual fans who only knew him as a champion who beat Ali at MSG after Ali was allowed to fight again. For all of Frazier's great attributes in the ring, he was just the opposite outside the ring. He wasn't a wit, didn't have the gift for gab and often came off as less than worldly.

Like Frazier, Foreman during the first phase of his boxing career didn't come off as an outgoing personality and let his actions in the ring speak volumes about his ability as opposed to being charismatic with the press. It was during Foreman's second journey into the ring that he blossomed as in interesting personality that the media flocked to. His many appearances on talk shows of the time allowed the public to see a side of him that was non-existent during his first run at the title where he often came off as angry and not a person to be messed with.

Some of his interviews on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson were downright comedic gold when he was making his comeback and that alone had many people pulling for "Big George"----so yeah, I think a movie about his life and career would do well. I can only speak for myself, but I know I'll look forward to it if it's made.
