Looks straight out of WWE, Gassiev signals to him to move in the direction of his right hand gets hit on the chest. Goes down then crawls on the floor and jumps as soon as the 10 count is complete.

I don't see any "signal" from Gassiev.

It looks like a clean, perfectly-supported rt from one of the hardest punching cruisers ever.
Balogun got hit in the chest. If he had been breathing out at the time, that would make it worse.

Looks like Balogun just didn't have the will to continue.

When I watched it I didn't think anything untoward had occurred, I also thought Balogun got hit on the chin. Then I read this post so I watched it back 3-4 more times and I'm in no doubt Balogun was in on it.

This is very disappointing and a bit confusing, I don't know why they would fix it but the smiling as soon as he got up at 10.1 seconds and the whispers in the ear afterwards let's me know there was funny business here.

I remember when Klitschko fought Solis and Solis went down after a grazing punch in the 1st (or no later than 2nd) round and failed to beat the count, Klitschko was incensed, Gassiev didn't seem to mind at all even hugging Balogun appearing to say thanks.

Can't believe Gassiev is still in his twenties though, I thought he was about 4 years older than he is

I never picked up on Gassiev pointing to his right prior to the shot at first but it does seem a bit suspicious the way Balogun went down from the shot to his chest and then just stood up and moved to congratulate Gassiev the second he was counted out.

Maybe he wasn’t wanting to be fed to the pigs by ‘arold.

And here is the full fight, and in this video at 8 minute 10 second mark you see the video from the opposite angle.

He moved to the exact spot by the ropes that Gassiev pointed too, before getting a dropping.

And even more disappointing is that he was holding his own in the first round displayed a very good skill set.. It looked like a fairly evenly matched contest.

He is 39 years old, and he was not getting the big fights. High risk low reward fighter. And at his age probably not much of future. So it seems he decided to cash out and take one of them Brown envelopes.

All very odd, and after completley destroying Tommy Morrisons son, Last year if he had used that opportunity to start calling out the big names. He might have landed a better paycheck against someone in the top ten.
