Since the fight is a few days away and that i have recieved numerous requests on my scoing for the 3 fights. I have watched again and scored the 3 Pacquiao-Marquez fights for my" fightscorecollector" site.... http://fightscorecollector.blogspot.com

I have also added some stats from my scoring of the fight eg: how many rounds each fighter has won and total points accumulated in the 3 fights.

Any comments most welcome AND please add your scores in this thread

cheers

Fightscorecollector

ps: Mods feel free to use this article for CHB, happy to send yous my stuff and thanks for publishing previous articles

@fightscorecollector You've got to be joking with that card for the 3rd fight.

I've lost my cards for the first two, I had JMM winning the 2nd by a close-ish decision. The third fight I scored 117-111 to JMM and cannot find even 6 rounds for Pacquiao even giving him the benefit of the doubt in close rounds.

h guys cheers for the feedback, below is why i scored the fight for pacquiao..as i said in my article, ive only watched the fight twice now and came up with the same score. Going round all the sites i have to say it 60-40 in favor of marquez. Easily 3-4 rounds could have went either wat although in all 3 fights the same could be said. 4th fight will be equally as close

listen to lederman on why he scored the rounds for manny in the 3rd fight, i certainly didnt agree with the amount of round he gave manny 116-112

pac was busier throwing and landing more punches than marquez in most of the rounds, he was pushing marquez back and sometimes marquez was simply not punching enough.

yes marquez was accurate there is no doubt but if he would have punched more and landed more he could have won the fight.

i dont just score the rounds on punches landed, its crazy to do so, you hv to look at quality of punching and what affect it had on the opponent. Marquez in some rounds was landing cleaner blows that would win him the round even though pacquiao landed more...basically he landed the better punches

at least 3-4 rounds could have went the either way

very very very close fight

there is my explanation on why i scored for pac

punchstats show pac landed more in nearly every rounds, marquez with his output was more accurate although not by much

as i said , a close fight with many swing rounds...i expect the same on saturday

the guy who generally scores more punches usually wins the fight....pac landed more punches in nearly every round. if that was the case i would have had pac winning 10-2 or something...there are many things you have to take into consideration when scorig a fight

I scored the third fight for Marquez 8-4 after 8 cans of kronenburg, a bottle of rum and a bucket so I'm interested to see how I score it sober. I was glad to hear that my resoning on scoring the fight that way was generally what others thought as well so its good to know my brain works somewhat even when mashed.

I'm well aware of this, but you cannot trust compubox.
i agree, just look at my stats for the 3 fights..i had marquez winning more rounds but pac more points only by 2 in 3 fights...all 3 fights were so close

Clean punching - Marquez effectively slipped, parried and blocked alot of Pacquiao's work. He also landed a great deal of clean counter-punches.
Effective aggression - Pac's aggressiveness was ultimately ineffective through most of the fight as he was being repeatedly countered.
Ring generalship - JMM controlled the pace of the fight as well as where it took place in the ring. JMM was rarely taken out of his comfort zone.
Defence - JMM showed great defensive skills throughout the entire 12 rounds, Pacquiao showed very little in terms of defence.

Plus if clean punching is effective then the other three mean shit.
