I remember a few years back watching harada beat pone kingpetch and being amazed at good harada looked and although he lost the rematch . The harada of that first contest for me anyway would be on with a very good chance against any fly in history .

Is there any boxer that has impressed you as much but has had a short tittle reign

Not quite as historic, but Calzaghe/Lacy - only the second time I'd ever seen him (Joe), after his fight against Ashira not long prior. Amazing performance and completely wowed me. One of the first main fights that got me into boxing

When I saw the title of this thread - this was the first thing that popped up in my mind!

Chavez/Rosario. Chavez had looked very good at 130, but there were plenty of doubters who figured Rosario would blast out the smaller Mexican. Chavez put on a clinic in the best 'one-sided' fight I have seen.

I think it was merchant that was saying something about how will Chavez handle the power in Rosario's punches up at 135lbs

Yeah a good shout as all the per-fight hype from all the American press was how lacy was going to destroy calzaghe
Exactly... and I was one of those who fell for the hype. To be honest, I thought Lacy would walk right through him!

When Calzaghe stood there in his corner, relaxed and seemingly without a care in the world, moments before the opening bell... I remember almost feeling sorry for the guy! Had he really no clue, that in a few minutes he would be lying on the canvas? Boy was I wrong!

To be honest Buster Douglas against Mike Tyson was impressive. Douglas apparently had no chance & apart from the 8th round knockdown battered Iron Mike.

Junior Jones ko'ing Marco Antonio Barrera was also quite good & Honeyghan stopping Curry.

Most recently I would say Marquez KO over Manny, I would've predicted anything over that. Pac PTS, Pac TKO, JMM PTS...even the draw. It was perfect.
The whole fight had me shouting and jumping up and down, even Rios-Alavardo didn't do that, I thought JMM was one or two big left hands away from getting stopped then boom! the perfect shot, that was class

Hearns Duran just for the fact Duran usually terrified his opponents and i personally think Hearns spooked him. I remember Manny steward writing something similar in The Four Kings.

I have so many more. Some of those will stick out to you, like Margarito vs Cotto but at the time I watched it, it seemed amazing how the iron will of this man had overcame everything. All mentions are done under the conditions they were when I first watched them, and the assumptions I had about one or both fighters at that moment.
