Reverse all the debatable losses on John Simpson's record and he has one of the best in British boxing. Saturday's win over Choi in a great fight was maybe his best yet and there's even talk of Eddie Hearn trying to work Simpson towards a possible world title shot in the near future as well.

I don't think anyone in British boxing would begrudge John his shot and it would be incredible if he was to somehow pick up a belt.

Do you think Simpson will fight for a title and do you believe he could even win?

Yeah I thought Choi just edged it tbh.
I had it 117-111 Choi, and i'm not the only one  i gave simpson 3 rounds and there were a couple more close rounds with simpson workrate ( not as significant punches or landing that well still), the third being one, i just cant see how simpson got the nod. I dont dislike simpson, it's just to see him get a world title off the back of that and choi get thrown into the 'Who Needs Him' club would disappoint me

Think I had it 7-5 to Choi.

Sky made me laugh after the fight. All the way through it, Nick Halling and Jim Watt were talking as if Simpson was generally dominating but every now and then Choi would land "eye-catching" shots to steal some rounds. Then at the end they put up the punch stats and Choi outlanded Simpson something like 90 to 50 - Halling and Watt instantly changed their view to "well Simpson must've landed the eye-catching punches"

Was funny after when Halling does what he usually does after a good fight - "we'd all like to see that again." Then they ask Simpson and Eddie if they'd like to make it again and their reaction was an obvious no (which is fair enough) but just made me laugh.

 jim watt is hilariously bad nowadays and 5 rounds is probably the most i could give to simpson so i couldnt argue that but a simpson victory just isnt there

I wouldn't ind him getting a shot but I think eve if he does get one its probably come too late for him - I think he's on the decline now and he's had a lot of tough fights that have took a lot out of him.

I think at this point it'd just be a nice pay day for him. Unless a title is vacated and Eddie secures him a favourable fight for the belt then I can't see him winning an alphabelt. I do think if some of those debatable losses had went his way he'd already have had a shot, but I agree it's going to come too late for him if at all.
