I reckon Khan may see it as beneath him and that it's a still probably a risky fight.
Very true but his stock is at an all time low. The generals think he is rubbish because he has been beaten by two people they haven't heard of and I'm not sure there would be a lot of interest in a lower level fight.

Sure if he gets a re-match with any of his other victors he should take them but i think outside of them and a fight with Brook this would be the best option for selling a fight at a level below what he has been boxing at.

I'd love to see a Brook fight at some stage. GBP are still backing Khan to some extent saying he's no undercard fighter - whether they consider Khan / Prescott top of the bill worthy is debatable.

I'll be keeping my eye on the Khan story to see what he does next. They're talking about a Garcia rematch, but I think Khan gets hammered again.

Whoever he fights in the future will always have a punchers chance & thats very entertaining to watch,I reckon his next fight will be in America, Prescott would be an easy sell & he deserves a good payday.

There's a very good chance that Khan does make some changes & boxes in a more controlled style but his punch resistance will never improve, hopefully his survival instincts & technique get better.

If Prescott had better stamina he'd be a decent fighter IMO. I definitely think he'd have schooled McCloskey and I could see him beating Alvarado too if his conditioning was better.

Khan who won't even lower himself to fight Brook is going to take on Prescott who has done nothing but lose for the last 4 years? I doubt it.
Well Khan has now gone a full year without a win, has been knocked cold and lost a lot of his fan base and possibly his coaching team. he best get used to the fringe level because that is where he is heading.

Sadly, this is most likely. If he can get a couple of wins over decent guys then maybe he can work his way back up to the top, but I've a gut feeling he'll never make it to the true elite. He's not at that level in my opinion.

I see similarities in Haye v Chisora and Khan v Prescott II. Haye/Khan see Chisora/Prescott as beneath them in terms of talent and fame. Chisora/Prescott have both lost numerous fights recently. Both fights make a lot of money. Both fights are big grudge matches. Both fights would/have garnered a lot of interest and ultimately viewers.

Why would Khan not take this? :conf

Prescott could still bang him out and that really would leave Khan high and dry.

Its the fight for me though:

Money
Revenge
Recognition (to 'casuals')
Rebuild UK fans
Cheap to make

There is, of course, no reason for Khan to step back into the ring with Prescott again. Whatever happened to Khan on Saturday the truth is that they are now World's apart in terms of where they were after THAT night in Manchester. Khan has been in with, and beaten, some of the best in his division whilst Prescott has been beaten convincingly by fighters who whether through lack of ability or chances, operate at a level under what Khan does.

However, it would be easy money for Amir Khan. Not a staggering amount of money but definitly a lot more than what he earned for their first fight and, I would have guessed, for recent fights against Paul McCloskey, for example. Also you have to suspect that somewhere in Khan's mind there is a constant desire for revenge. Its never a bad thing to avenge a lost and as a "comeback" fight it is a perfect one for Khan.

Ha ha put your rod away mate.
What are you talking about?

Amir Khan was beaten up by Danny Garcia (who has good power, but not murderous power). Khan will not be able to take Prescott's best work. All he'll have to do is land a bomb (which Garica, Peterson and Maidana all landed). I also think Bredis has actually improved as a boxer since Khan.

I think that Prescott is the fight that Khan should take, for the reasons that have been outlined in this thread already. It doesn't sound as thought Garcia wants any part of a rematch - and why should he, it's not like the fight was close or controversial - and this offers lots of advantage. It'd be in the UK, it would avenge a loss and Khan could say that he has been in with a banger and won. However, I think that there is more chance of me winning the lottery than Khan taking this fight, as he sees it as beneath him. And I don't buy lottery tickets.

I actually think Prescott beats him again. I'm not sure Khan's hit and run tactics would work against a man as big as him and Prescott would be as motivated/confident for this fight as ever. It'd only take Prescott to 'punch with Khan' as Malignaggi was saying in commentary and sooner or later he'd catch him with one of those wild shots again and then anything could happen from there.

Hope Khan takes the fight and I'd like him to prove me wrong though :good
