Just watching the re-run of the Audley Wilder fight, got me thinking how a fight between Price and Wilder could pan out, both have questions over their chin, both posses great power, how do you think it would go?

It's an interesting fight. I'm hoping Price gets past Thompson in the rematch, purely so we can potentially see some matchups like this in future. Nothing against Thompson but he doesn't really add much to the division, even if he scores the KO again. Although I would've quite liked to see Wilder vs Thompson rather than Audley looking back.

Right now I think the smart money would be on Wilder to beat Price. He has the size to compete with him and his bombs away style would probably cause Price big problems.

I'd pick Wilder. Not because I think he's technically better or anything like that, but on the basis that's it's massive power vs shaky chins all round and it's a question of who lands first. I don't believe Price is technically as good as people think, and I think Wilder has less fear. I think he'd be calmer and let his hands go earlier and land first.

Depends on how aggressive price is for me. Price is the better boxer and I'd normally favour him to be the one to land his big shots first but I think he'd be tentative and let wilder get off first.

I don't think levels of opposition means too much in this one, Fraudley was probably their best opponent, and they finished him early.

More I just think this Is an old fashioned gun slinging contest and I back wilder who has faster hands and will be more confident

I don't know how to do that 'this' 'deal' 'contract symbol you all do, so I'll content myself, in rather lumpen manner, with saying that I agree with every word of this poest. I think that the first to land wins, and while I hope that that is Price, I think he comes out too tentative and Wilder throws another overhand right and that's it - Price has two quick, non-title defeats on his record, and the same questions remain over Wilder. Love to see this one made, though.

@SimonTemplar : deal ( without the space ) :deal
In the words of Fillmore (from Cars, I have kids!), 'There's a lot of love out here (sic), man'. Thank you, both of you, very kind :deal

(And Jamie :lol: thank you but all interventions always welcome, it stops me rambling too badly off track)
