Because......fuck it. As much as I try to forget, I was a big fan up until about the end of Steve Austin's career in that last Wrestlemania against The Rock. The fact that it's essentially a live circus show bugged me as a little kid until I started to understand the ridiculous amounts of hard work that goes into it and the skill required to put on a great match.

Anyway, let the negative posts begin.

I think so, and for that I have mad love for him.

Stone Cold>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Watched a documentary about him on Netflix. It was good as hell. He gives an amazing account of his life. For whatever reason I did somewhat expect him to be more like his character, but he's a pretty awesome listen.

Have you seen the movie the wrestler? Its like rocky but with wrestling.....

I lost interest after Eddie dies and vince wouldnt help Vickie without wanting a slice of her and degrading eddies memory. I think he is a supreme cunt so that puts me off........however I'd do stephanie in a heartbeat ;-)

Its dead to me. Saw the last wrestlemainia and almost went to sleep, look at the top names and they dudes are big with no fucking charisma, mic skills, and can't do shit in the ring because it is banned.

Well I'll always have my memories.

Ya, I can'Post Reply Reply With Quote unt of charisma and mic skills. But who is his number 2? A dude named CM Punk I believe? The dude has decent mic skills but absolutely no in ring charisma. I can't believe the horrible ring work I've seen from some of these dudes. The whole point back in the day was to do some shit and get people questioning......how did they do that and fake it? The amazing thing is, sometimes they pulled it off by really doing the maneuver. Rick Steiner used to closeline the fuck out of people for real. That's why it looked so legit. **** Foley really fucked himself up and jumped onto concrete from high up. He really got thrown off a big ass cage onto a table. That's what made it awesome in the post technical era.

The fuck are they doing now? People are so obvious with so much of their ring work. I mean shit, you can even catch them talking to each other on camera about what to do next. They were so good at sneaking that shit in in the past.

Ya, I can't get into it anymore. I have honestly tried. John Cena, as annoying as his character can be, has a fair amoPost Reply Reply With Quote unt of charisma and mic skills. Yeah you can see these dudes giving each other the count and everything and I don't know if it is because they don't practice with each other doing 100s of dark matches they used to back in the day or whatever but it is pathetic.

I see the WWE continually trying to push that garbage ass Randy Orton as a superstar, man can't give a promo to save his life, yet he is one of the OGs of today's wrestling and it blows my mind. The product is simply absolute shit.

I was with TNA but they have too many old retreds and I"m not interested in seeing dudes who were hold when I was a fucking kid wrestling today.

Ya I tried tuning into TNA last week. Saw Sting wrestle.....dude did a fucking stinger splash and it looked weak as shit.

Not working with each other a ton is one thing, but skill will get you through that. Steve Austin didn't get to rehearse his match with Bret Hart in the I quit match and it was one of the great matches of the era.

Highly skilled dudes don't need to practice with a dude. They can feel a match out and sneak communication in at the right moments. Refs don't do shit anymore either. Used to be the refs really ran a match and relaid information correctly. Now they have these looks on their faces like they aren't sure what to do next in a match.

These matches used to be somewhat common.

How the fuck did The Rock have to come back against John Cena for their to be an acceptable match? Pathetic. Do these guys just come into The WWE completely green? Is this what happens when the territories die and wrestling schools just send guys right into the WWE? Not worth it.

I used to love pro Wrestling when I was a Kid. All of the great personalities, the Heros, the Heels. It was great.

Cornett says it isn't the talent pool it is the management, Vince, Steph, and HHH are locked into a overly commercial type setting now and because kayfabe is gone they are scared to relay on increased physicality, so they go more on who they think looks good in a photo than whether the person conveys well in the ring. Same with TNA except it is by name, instead of looks, and the loss of regional competion certainly hasn't helped.
