Thought I'd make a thread for people to recommend or highlight prospects that they rate from around the globe.
I'll start with the Arroyo twins that fight on the same card this Saturday, unfortunately not against the highest of competition but it's good to see a couple of my favourite prospects back out again. Both were highly rated and accomplished amateurs. I've been really high on these guys since they turned pro, McWilliams in particular (I'm a sucker for all out action :yep)
McWilliams Arroyo is in a 10 rounder against Felipe Rivas, who some may remember giving Calderon a tough time in his comeback fight. Last time out McWilliams scored the win of his career earning a wide decision against the experienced Maldonado, it was a really impressive performance as it showcased his boxing skills and his ability to stay away from a needless war....which was his downfall in his loss to Okada in that memorable slugfest. He has brilliant offensive ability, great power in both hands, nice combination puncher and works the body very well. A bit more thought and defensive nous in his work really will turn him into the all round package.
McJoe is in a 6 rounder again (yet to fight over a longer distance) and doesn't seem to be progressing as fast as his bro....since their debuts it looked as if McJoe was more the boxer of the two and maybe a bit more suited to make his way to the top. A tricky southpaw with a little more speed than his bro IMO. Hopefully he can get past this fight with no trouble and get a 10 rounder later in the year.
