Wow. Is that just for title defences? Because whilst a stinging hitter (and Zarate could confirm no doubt) Rodolfo Martinez would be one of the last names I'd imagine to be right up there.

Possibly, it might have been the Sandoval fight, Lujan fight is a quality one but not a winning effort from Alfonso. Would've been, he puts on a brilliant, well rounded show akin to Olivares IMO, but unfortunately for him Lujan was carved out of some mad tree in Panama and had one of the most solid chins ever

its amazing what a ko loss can do...zamora was in his prime at 23, having already blasted away pedroza in a world title fight, when zarate ko'd him and he was never the same again....the losses came and he was retired in less than 4 years.

Especially to a guy who is used to being the puncher. Knowing there's someone out there who can take what you throw and dish out worse? For a former Olympian and undefeated wrecking ball like Zamora in those circumstances I can see why it took his soul.
