BoxingScene.com has been advised that the World Boxing Association (WBA) has ordered Scott Quigg (25-0-1, 18KOs) to face Yoandris Salinas (20-0-1, 13KOs) for the vacant WBA super bantamweight championship. The "regular" belt became vacant when Guillermo Rigondeaux defeated Nonito Donaire in a WBO/WBA unification bout last month. The two sides have until June 14 to reach a deal or a purse bid will be ordered.

A world title is just what Quigg needs to make the Frampton fight bigger IMO. It's a bullshit title obviously, but fans will buy into it

I know, that's sad, too - it's a legitimate world title fight, no need to include the shitty WBA junior not-quite-as-good-belt.

I don't understand why Hatton fighters get so little exposure, these days, either.

I know that those are two unrelated points btw!
No TV mate, when was the last time he actually put a show on? Plenty of promoters survive without TV, Hatton should be able to.

He got dropped against the non-punching Welsh kid last year whose name escapes me. Pretty sure he has been dropped before that as well

EDIT: Jamie Arthur
Also by Angelo Villani. Watched the KD on youtube - Quigg didn't seem hurt. Will have to take a look at the Jamie Arthur fight if it's available :good

Really. On what evidence has Quigg got a bad chin? Not being a smart arse but I've not seen anything which has given me that impression. I think Quigg beats Frampton personally.
Dropped and hurt quite badly by a stiff jab in the Arthur fight. He's been down early in his career a few times, also looked quite weak to the body against Varela, who hurt him a few times.

Getting hurt by no-punchers is a bad sign.
