Thought he still had some decent fights left in him but if he feels his time has past then fair play to him. I thought Maloney messed up big style by putting him in with Nishioka and Booth in with Molitor. He should have put Munroe in with Molitor who he would have beaten and then had Munroe fight Booth in an all Brit championship bout.

Neither fighter recovered properly and both slipped sharply back down to British/Regional level.

I have to say I always enjoyed watching Rendall Munroe's fights. He was just one of those guys that whenever he was on Sky, I'd make sure I tuned in for. It just wasn't quite there against Quigg last time out. Wish him all the best in retirement.

I think this is the best move for him. If he doesn't feel like he has what it takes any more and feels his best days are gone then this is the only reasonable move.

I agree with @chatty in regards to Munroe-Nishioka and Booth-Molitor. Could have shaped his career completely different if the guidance was better. Nevertheless, he achieved plenty in his career and I'm sure he will enjoy retirement.

That's surprising.

He's been posting all week on twitter about sprints, and his dieting.

I think he's just an absolute fitness fanatic.

Quality, likeable, humble guy. A rarity these days.

Intelligent move. Clearly wants to more than just a domestic fighter and realises that that's what it would probably come to if he carried on. Fair play to the lad
