Rios says he wants his fight with Alvarado to be remembered like the Gatti-Ward or Castillo-Corralles fights. I know it'll be a great fight and I hope it is as good as Rios wants it to be.

From the man himself-

"I want those types of fights that are going to be like Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward, or the Corrales-Castilo fight. Those are the types of fights that I've been wanting, so everybody is going to not want to miss it," said Rios, who will meet Alvarado at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., on Oct. 13.

"I'm so looking forward to this fight. This is the type of fight that I've been looking forward to for my career. It's the sort of fight that I've wanted for the longest. So everybody has to go and get their tickets because this is going to be a violent, bloody fight. A real good fight."

I honestly have trouble making up my mind on Rios. His weight troubles do not help. I'm anxious to see this fight. It will be at 140, right?
It is at 140, the only thing that worries me about Alvarado's chances is the fact that he seems to cuts and swell's fairly easily. Rio's can bang hard so he could bust him em up a bit. I think Mike can pull it off though all things considered.

Mike will win as Rios looked half dead against Abril at 139 lbs

This will be a bit sloppy I reckon, won't come close to touching Gatti/Ward or Corrales/Castillo, I doubt it will even be one of the fights of the year but I do hope I'm proven wrong.

I think Bam Bams experience at the top level might be the difference in this slugfest:bbb

If he's still around, I fancy Alvarado to finish strong in what could be some drama filled final rounds too.

Well played Top Rank:clap:
