There is a video apparently for those that feel they need to see it, but I'd rather not post that here

17 year-old Indonesian boxer dies
Published: 28 Jan 2013 at 11.48
Online news:

A 17-year-old Indonesian boxer has died of a brain haemorrhage after losing a fight.

Tubagus Sakti suffered convulsions and was rushed to hospital following his eighth round technical knock-out defeat to Ical Tobida in a bout for the vacant KTPI junior flyweight title at the TVRI studio in Jakarta on Sunday.

It was later confirmed that the teenager had died of a brain haemorrhage in hospital, according to a report by the Indonesian language newspaper Kompas.

Cornered by his opponent in the eighth round, Tubagus raised both his hands in the air to signify that he had given up. However, the referee failed to stop Ical from landing several clean blows to Tubagus’s head before stopping the fight.

daum rip...

surprised the other fighter continued to batter him after he raised his hands to give up, i know he had a right to carry on hitting him and it would of looked bad on the fight if it ended like that, but the ref should of stopped it before it got to that, proper shame though...

he may of had a brain condition before the fight...
