Just looked up this bout on boxrec and his opponent is making is pro debut, so very little chance Roy will be in any trouble against such an opponent, but shame on any sanctioning body in boxing for even giving him the OK to fight again.

No man at age 54 should be climbing between the ropes to fight in a ring------and this is coming from a 70 yr. old.

If he retired after beating John Ruiz. Would have gone down as one of the best ever.
Has just damaged his legacy and reputation. By fighting on once past his prime. And like most boxers went through millions. Wasted on ostentatious living and bad investments.
In conclusion just another once great fighter who is broke and hustling for one last big paycheck.

You gonna give him money to support himself?
Thank god the russian billionaire paid off his tax debt, if he wants to make some money on youtuber circuit, good for him.

He's fighting former UFC Lightweight (155lbs) champ Anthony Pettis.
Pettis had a decent run in the UFC but isn't some superstar stiker.

So I'd think Roy will be ok.Though Roy is well past it.

The fight is part of a pro boxing show put on by the UFC's "Baddest Muther Fucker" Jorge Masvidal.
Former UFC Great Jose Aldo is also going to be making his pro boxing debut along with Vitor Belfort who knocked out Evander Holyfield last year.

Pearl Gonzalez who was also in the UFC is fighting as well
