Apparently judges had hatton up by one or two..Even if it had gone distance and he'd of won the writing was on the wall.. He's not at the level where he wants to compete.. In the press conference he seemed to admit that.. I just hope he means it.

i had it 76-76 and was about to score that a 10-10 as there wasn't much going on then obviously the bodyshot landed

Actually with the knockdown the best he could've hoped for was a draw.

Scores were 78-74, 77-76, 77-76 to Hatton. Give Senchenko the 9th as a proper 10-8 and those become 86-84 Hatton, 76-75, 76-75 Senchenko.

If Hatton lost the tenth, then he loses on points.

If he mounted a comeback (but didn't score a knockdown of his own) it comes out a draw: 95-94 Senchenko, 95-95, 95-95.

After rewatching i have Hatton winning the first 4 due to activity then Senchenko taking the 4 after that. I think his punch quality was better and he seemed to start to controll the pace of the fight.

I had it even going into the ninth. Same as many others, I have rounds one through four to Ricky, and the next four going to Senchenko. I also had Hatton winning the ninth prior to that body shot. Was gutted.

Does no one else think after 7 it looked like hatton was going to get stopped. I was saying to Kally who i watched it with from about round 7 that i thought Hatton was going to get stopped in the next few rounds.

I turned to my brother, who I was at the MEN with, in either the sixth or seventh and said that it almost seemed that the writing was on the wall. Ironic how the shot that finished Ricky's career is the same one he has used to put away many of his opponents. :-(

about halfway through the fifth i said to my mate he'd get stopped, he just looked fucked at one point and never got a second wind and was eating shots coming forward after that, didnt think a bodyshot like that would do it though i thought the ref would stop him at some point

Me too.

He would have gone 86-85 up for me.
Yeah Hatton wasn't doing too bad in the 9th really. Even though Senchenko started to plant his feet more and started to control the fight, the knockout kinda came out of nowhere.

:good thanks

Interesting then that if Hatton hadn't gone down in the 9th and the judges had scored it as we had, Hatton would have won a UD even if he'd lost the 10th 10-9 going on the scorecards released post fight.

I'm glad it ended that way, getting stopped to the body and not taking heaps of punishment. If he'd have won that fight he may have continued and gotten really hurt. It was for the best.
