I'm going for Martinez. I don't think Sergio will like somebody being on him all the time, especially that much bigger a man, but I think he'll find Chavez hittable, and he won't go into cruise mode like he did with Barker and Macklin. If it goes to the cards and Martinez hasn't visibly hurt Chavez, I think Julio will get the nod.

Also, I note that's clear as mud. I think Sergio will win, but it's a good fight. To confuse matters more, I voted decision when I meant stoppage. Consider my opinion null & void...

Martinez by decision, im thinking along a 117-111 or 116-112 scoreline, if all things are legit. I think Sergio will have that little too much skill for chavez, although Chavez could get some work done in the mid rounds.

To be clear, I can't see junior walking trough Sergio's thuds like he did to Andy's... It will be a totally different fight for him.
I can. If he could deal with Rubio's firepower and be generally alright he will probably be quite fine with Martinez barring a Pwilly style punch he doesnt see, and i dont bank on that as an outcome.

EDIT:

alright fuck im just gonna say it.

I'm going to honestly put my neck out there and go with Chavez decision. I think Sergio is getting older, Chavez is coming into his prime and has the kind of style that has always been Sergio's poison. He is also physically going to be bigger, slower as well but I can see him beating Martinez.

Chavez doesn't punch on his way in, and I think that's going to be his downfall.

It's fine doing it against Lee in a 6 foot ring, but it's going to be very different against Sergio.

Id like to hear your breakdown breh
I think son will win on points because son's defense has improved, son has a good chin, and son likes to impose his will from centre ring, this is something that can be done against the man that son is fighting, which Darren Barker showed when he dictated the pace of the bout. Son is not a jabber in the sense of Barker, but he is more aggressive and has a higher workrate, he will be countered and pot-shotted on but as long as son's chin does son proud I think son has a good chance.

I disagree very strongly. Sergio loves to counter at mid range. That's his bread and butter. That's how he knocked out Paul, actually. Sergio is good at the long range, exceeds in the middle, but isnt too hot up close.

My point is that I can't see Chavez working his way in enough.
