http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2013/01/mosley-malignaggi-fight-is-go.html

Three-weight world champion Shane Mosley is set to participate in his 22nd world title fight in the spring as the 56-fight veteran tackles WBA welterweight title holder Paul Malignaggi.

The 41 year-old, who retired after losing to Saul Alvarez in May last year, is set to make a remarkable return to attempt to claim yet another world crown and told WBN that the fight is 'a go' after being contacted earlier today.

Mosley is without a win since January 2009 after becoming the first fighter to stop Antonio Margarito in a controversial fight at Staples Center in Los Angeles and may see the Italian-American as his last chance to get back to the top.

'Magic Man' Malignaggi, 32, is picking up the pieces following the collapse of his high-profile rematch with Ricky Hatton and is expected to gain home advantage for what will be his second defence of the 147lb belt.

April 27th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn is the rumoured date for the contest, with Mosley ready to step up his training in anticipation of an announcement of the fight in the near future.

I think Paulie will make Shane look silly if I'm honest. Shane has nothing left, hasn't for a while now.

Bar a haymaker shot - and Paulie has a decent chin, I don't see how this goes Shane's way. I don't even think Shane has the ability to land those power shots he'd need to anymore either.

I don't know what's worse, this fight or the fact that Mosley could win, and the shot to shit ancient version of him has a belt again..

Mosley will win this, he is shot but so is Malignaggi to an extent and I think Mosley will be big enough to put enough pressure on Paulie to nullify him. Paulie will have to go on the run all night so it'll probably be an interesting fight but no way should there be a title on the line. Problem is, if Shane does win he's gonna want to box on when he should be retired.

GBP must have plans for one of their youngsters to take the belt of one of them later in the year.

Shane put up a spirited effort against Canelo and it was a good way for him to bring down the curtain on his career.
Now I wish Canelo beat him to a pulp and ended any inkling that he should continue fighting.

That said, I think Shot to Shit Shane v Paulie the Welterweight is a competitive and intriguing fight in some bizarre way!

Really? Who hates Paulie?
Nuff, apparently.

Wouldn't be surprised to see either man win, Shane will not be bothered at all about Paulie's power and just go on the hunt, I would imagine. Shane appears to have lost the ability to pull the trigger, about 4 years ago FFS, but still, it's only Paulie.

Isn't mosely skint think his wife took everything off him, world title belts he won an all :stonk

I'd imagine he needs the payday and after hatton fell through on paulie I'd say he's happy fighting a 'big name' ::-(

This is a disgrace, this should be Maidanas shot at a title, not to mention it would make a much more interesting fight. I wont watch this it will be dreadful 12 rounds of Mosley not throwing a punch and feather fisted Malinaggi boxing carefully, thanks but no thanks.
