Promoter Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing has announced that a deal was reached for former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley (46-8-1, 39 KO's) to face Mexico's Pablo Cesar "Homewrecker" Cano (26-2-1, 20 KO's) on May 18th in Cancun, Mexico. The event will take place at the Oasis Hotel and also feature Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (30-2-0, 28 KO's) and Ricardo "Rocky" Juárez (29-10-1, 21 KO's) on the undercard. Televisa and Fox Sports Deportes will televise.

Mosley, 41-years-old, returns for the first time since last May's defeat to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Cano comes back from last year's close split decision loss to WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi. A few weeks ago, Mosley was close to a deal to fight Malignaggi but the fight fell apart due to financial reasons.

Tough shit. Even after the divorce, he had enough big money fights to sail out in the sunset with. It's his own fault. Now he's risking his health too.
Tough shit, indeed. If people want to pay to see an old man get a pasting then that's fine by me, as long as the old man is a willing participant.

Sad to see, but let him crack on. It's not like his last few have been wars so he isn't like RJJ and taking a shellacking every fight.

I honestly think that Shane Mosley is the most well known shot fighter behind Roy Jones. It's almost as if he hasn't thrown a punch since Round 2 with Mayweather, at least not a meaningful one anyway. The Alvarez beating should've been enough.

I honestly thought the Alvarez fight would've finally been the end, he seemed to give it a bit more of a go than usual. 'One last hurrah' sort of thing.

My list of well known shot fighters, in descending order, is as follows:

1. Danny Williams
2. RJJ
3. Evander Holyfield
4. James Toney
5. Shane Mosley

I suppose that's really a list of 'Most shot, known fighters', as opposed to 'Most known, shot fighters.'
