WBA “regular” lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been arrested in Florida, TMZ Sports has confirmed … just days before his scheduled fight against Hector Luis Garcia.
According to jail records, the 28-year-old was booked in Broward County on Tuesday on a battery domestic violence charge. He posed for a mug shot — and the records show as of late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, he was still in police custody.
Further details surrounding the allegations against Davis were not made immediately available.
The fighter is slated to step in the ring with HLG on Jan. 7 in Washington D.C., though it’s unclear if Tuesday’s arrest will change plans.
Davis — 27-0 in pro fights — is no stranger to trouble with the law … he’s been arrested several times in the past few years … including in 2020, after he was accused of roughing up his ex-girlfriend at a celebrity basketball game in Florida.

Sounds to me like Tank Davis has taken a few pages out of the Edwin Valero book on how to treat women and decided that is the road he wants to travel on.

Valero was 27-0 when he killed his wife, was jailed and subsequently committed suicide by hanging himself in his jail cell.

I’m still gonna tune in to watch Ryan Garcia CS Tank.

people don’t realize how big Ryan Garcia is. Gervonta is a weight bully so he won’t be knocking out little midgets. Ryan is 5-10..and will be all muscle.

Well, if she did all that, then he needs to get her out the house and get as far away from her as possible and let the legal system handle it from there on out. If married to this gal, get a divorce and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sure it's HIS money that bought the house, put the clothes on her back and keeps her living the lifestyle she's grown accustomed to. Get rid of her and let her see how the other half lives.

I still think his drunk driving accident where he left the scene and the vixtim in the car shiws he is a piece of shit
