This is our own Hall of Fame whereby we get to discuss who deserves to go in. There's always people debating the IBHOF and the people it inducts so why not start our own and then we can decide between us who goes in.
We'll pick one person a week and debate whether they should go into the HOF and then I or one of the other writers can write a historic piece up about them.
Rules
1. The boxer must have been retired for 4 years before eligibility.
2. Five boxers will be selected weekly and go into a poll for induction. The fighters up for nomination can be discussed here and then decided who to put in a separate thread for polling options.
3. A nominated boxer can't be put forward for a further 6 weeks once he has gone up for nomination.
4. First and foremost, boxing must be considered the main reason for election. other factors can be considered but this is a boxing hall of fame not a who's the most popular contest.
5. The nationality of the boxer from the previous weeks winning poll is barred for the following weeks nominations - so as to give it a world wide HOF feel rather than who has been most popular in the USA for example.
6. Inductees into the world boxing HOF will automatically be inducted into their domestic leagues should they have worked their way up through their said domestic league.
7. For any non-boxing categories, boxing resume's become invalid. E.g if your going to get in as a coach then it is because your coaching resume is outstanding and not because they we're substandard at both.
8. Domestic inductions must have a resume relevant to their domestic scene at the time. They don't necessarily have had to fought for the title but should have at least had fought a fair share of domestic rivals.
9. One boxer will be inducted into the CHB HOF every week.
10. One coach will be inducted each month.
11. One domestic boxer will be inducted each fortnight.
12. One observer/non participant will be inducted each month.
13. One female will be inducted each quarter.
14. One amateur will be inducted bi-monthly.
15. One bare-knuckle era boxer will be inducted each month.
