We had one on Eastisde, started by @Mexican_LP IIRC, and I think it's time it made the switch here (party because Shaun aka @chatty has said he will loan me some of his collection). Basically, this is the thread that recommends books to other posters, which can be exchanged or loaned.

RULES

1. The person borrowing the book or DVD pays for the postage and packaging.
2. Items will be returned within a month (or longer if the two parties agree).

My collection

Books

Jimmy Wilde autobiography
Unforgivable blackness (jack Johnson) by Geoffrey Ward
Four kings
Freddie Mills biography by Jack Birtley
Sugar Ray Robinson autobiography
Ray Leonard Autobiography
Nipper Daly Bio by Alex Daly
In the ring with Bob Fitzsimmons by Adam Pollock
Sam Langford bio by Clay Moyle
Hands of Stone (Roberto Duran bio)
The Guv'ner (Lenny McClean, if it counts as boxing)

DVDs

I have career sets of:

Archie Moore
Ezzard Charles
Joe Louis
Roberto Duran
Willie Pep
Henry Armstrong
James Jeffries

I'm interested in getting hold of Pollack's books on Corbett, L Sullivan and Jeffries. The Fitzsimmons book was absolutely brilliant and was very well written, so I'd like to continue trend. I understand he is also writing something on Marvon Hart.
@Flea Man any idea when Steve Compton's Greb book is coming out?

The Johnson, Leonard, Hearns, Four Kings and Liston books are excellent as is the Watson book if your into your history stuff.

The Oscar book was terrible as was the 12 rounds of boxing.

The rest were decent but not great.

I'd also highly recommend Durans biography, Larry Holmes book and their is an awesome Ray Robinson book I hired from the library - I think it was called Peerless.

Who's the author of the duran book you'd recommend I'd like that one. Might get the larry holmes book too. I've read a book on stanley ketchel and through that I've read one on jack johnson not sure if its the one you have it was a while back. What about ray leonard's book that was released this year(I think?) have you read it or have you heard is it any good?

Durans is by Christian Guidice, its a good read and goes into lots of detail.

The Holmes book is called Against The Odds.

The Leonard book came out end of last year and is very good, he's really honest when he talkes about his life and doesn't cut no corners, its dfo worth a read.
