Despite being seen as a bit of a freak show and mostly relying on his size to win fights, Nikolay Valuev wasn't that bad and it's a shame one of these fights was never made.

Vitali was inactive/retired/'champion in recess' around the time where Valuev was probably at his best so I guess that fight was always unlikely to happen but had it not been for promotional differences then a Wladimir Klitschko vs Valuev fight might have been made.

How do you feel each of the Klitschko brothers would've fared against the man mountain? Are you disappointed neither ever took place?

I think Wlad might have stopped him. We'd have had to see a more mobile Wlad though and that might have been interesting, mad as it sounds Valuev could have KO'ed Wlad on account of sheer size therefore power, but I doubt it. I think Wlad would have to use a different style but should have had enough boxing skill to give a real lesson and probably stop him late. I always like SNV though, he got some nasty stick from a lot of people, some weird stuff from David Haye

With such a monumental size advantage wlad would do extremely well to not get hit and would have to change his style quite a bit. No leaning, no outside advantage, he may even need to work on the inside. Not sure what the result would be really. Sounds silly because wlad is leagues above valuev but you never know

Vitali on accumulation on his feet or corner stoppage, and Wlad probably would have put him down late.

Yeah I think both would likely have stopped him too. That said he did have a chance and at least something to offer as a threat which is more than can be said for a lot of their challengers so would have been interesting, if he was fighting wlad and was a huge outsider I'd have been tempted to put a few quid on him.

I don't think either would knock him down, but both would hand out horrible beatings so I'd expect Valuev's corner to pull him out in the second half

Vitali would of beat him. But I could see Wlad getting stopped in all honesty.

He'd cause both problems imo, he's what 8 inches taller than Wlad with a much longer reach and his jab wasn't terrible, I do think he could jab with Wlad a bit, obviously he's got a granite chin and Wlad wouldn't throw the right much because in close he wouldn't have his ability to lean, with Valuev havign 60lbs on him. Wlad would have to move a lot and try to win on the jab imo.

Awkward fight, pick the Klits to win but wouldn't bet on it, as strange as it sounds

I'd go along with most on here, Klits both stop him, but Nikolay wasn't the awful fighter people made him out to be.
