The forum is excellent, though only problem is that it is slow at times. Clearly the message is about boosting poster numbers which will speed up thread replies. Enjoyed because it was mentioned on the Bunce hour.

I think we need to get him and Steve Lillis to repeat the message and get the word out there. Therefore we need to encourage him and others to post on here and hence must not piss him of through abuse etc. I recall he was a regular on ESB until he got pissed off with comments, abuse etc.

The aim is for this to become the trade forum.

We also need to get fighters to plug the fourm in their post fight interviews and get them to tweet. It can be a double edged sword. The non banning policy encourages posters to push the rules to the limit and if a fighter, promoter, journalist is at the sharp end of the threads they will in turn avoid the forum like the plague. We need to get the balance.

Yesterday Derry Matthews and Adrien Broner both posted our articles and Eddie Chambers signed up, but he's yet to post. We also had an exclusive CHB interview with Ricky Hatton thanks to @Lilo.

It's tough with Bunce and that though. I'd love it if he posted here and any downright abuse (ala ESB) would get dealt with but last time we asked I think he said he was done with forums for good. Can't blame him, people were constantly at his throat over bullshit on esb just because he's famous. At the same time we can't just delete anything disagreeing with him though, if someone disagrees and it's respectful it should stay. Though Buncey can handle that I reckon.

Agreed, but over on ESB the modding is non existant in the main, in the fact anything goes, be it trolling, hate speech etc. Hence why people like Bunce got run off the forum and to be fair, I can't blame him for leaving there.

CHB so far has got the modding spot on. The test will be I guess when activity here ramps up.

this place has been awesome to talk boxing since I was first made aware of this place 4 or 5 months ago via Steve's Bunce and Lillis chatting on box nation. I like the forum despite not knowing anyone in real life. It seems very civilized compared to other forums. It also has most of the important boxing news stories and the users on here are quite friendly souls who just love talking about the sport (which is what it's all about).

As said above it can be a vicious thing growing a community but if we have mods running the place and sending all the bad people to gulag - we'll be alright!
