Say there was only one weight class for all the guys currently around the welterweight division. What a division we could have!

Hypothetically I think I'd rank them something like this:

1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Juan Manuel Marquez
3. Manny Pacquiao
4. Tim Bradley
5. Lamont Peterson
6. Danny Garcia
7. Robert Guerrero
8. Lucas Matthysse
9. Amir Khan
10. Devon Alexander
11. Richard Abril
12. Brandon Rios
13. Ricky Burns
14. Josesito Lopez
15. Victor Ortiz
16. Andre Berto
17. Adrien Broner
18. Miguel Vazquez
19. Kell Brook
20. Marcos Maidana

That's 20 names right there and that's only the top, established kinda names. How would you rank those 20 and which fights would you really like to see between them? We could almost have a premier league of boxing with the names mentioned there.

I'd match them up like this as well:

Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Tim Bradley

Lamont Peterson vs Amir Khan II
Danny Garcia vs Lucas Matthysse

Robert Guerrero vs Devon Alexander
Richard Abril vs Brandon Rios II

Ricky Burns vs Adrien Broner
Josesito Lopez vs Victor Ortiz II

Andre Berto vs Marcos Maidana
Miguel Vazquez vs Kell Brook

And split into those brackets as well where the winners fight each other, losers the same etc.

I think so. It's a close one between Burns and Abril but beating Acosta and Rios is slightly better than Burns' wins over Katsidis, Moses and Mitchell. Broner's probably third with the wins over DeMarco and Rees.
