Was watching ringside and Khan and co were all praising Hunter for keeping on him all during the fight but it got me thinking is that even legal. I know in amateur boxing its not and I've seen many a coach sent to the back, have points docked etc for doing this but I don't know if the same rules apply in the pro ranks.

You don't often see coaches shouting throughout the round often, it, I'm not against and I don't think it makes much difference unless they are causing a distraction but was just querying the legalities of it?

It happens all the time in pro boxing as far as I'm aware.

I think the referee could probably warn the corner and tell them to shut up if he felt it was over the top or distracting him but you don't see it very much.

I think if it gets over zealous and just goes on and on ref's will tell the trainer to shut it. I have seen likes of Richie Davies and Mickey Vann tell trainers to be quiet.

It's a flawed ruling IMO What if the trainer sat in the crowd and shouted instructions from there? What if he whispered a message to a guy in the 1st row and he shouted it? To say its a distraction is bullshit, Senchenko had 20,000 people screaming at him; I'm sure he was distracted then.

If that rule about trainer's not being able to shout instructions from the corner is true, then it broken so much that i doubt anyone really gives a shit about it. On every professional card that you watch, whether in person or on tv, you'll hear the corner men shouting instructions at some point. And on HBO, they even zoom into the trainer during the fight to see what he's say at time's.

Not sure how it goes on international fights, but on any amateur cards ive seen or partook in, ive heard loads of corner men shouting during the fight. Cant really see the point in that law truth be told.

It is a shit rule and a bit pointless as long as they aren't going out of their way to distract the boxers but as I said I've seen loads of coaches kicked out in the ams so was wondering if there was an official rule for it in the pros as well.
