The defense of WBA flyweight champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez (33-2, 25KOs) has been derailed. He was going to face Filipino Ardin Diale on June 23rd at the CUM in Hermosillo, Mexico. But the WBA has ordered Marquez to defend his belt against mandatory challenger and interim-champion Juan Carlos Reveco (28-1, 16KOs). The show will still move forward, with Juan Francisco Estrada (21-1, 16 KOs) replacing Marquez against Diale.

"I was training very hard, and in the final stages of my preparation for a big show before the public in Hermosillo. We will comply with the regulations and we will face Reveco and I hope that my promoter make the fight in Mexico or the United States. We do not want to go to Argentina," Marquez said.

Very strange, Marquez/Reveco is a very good fight though, Reveco deserves his shot.

Odd that the WBA have enforced this so close to Tyson's scheduled voluntarily, but Marquez/Reveco is probably a superior fight.
