Rather eventful week, time for a run down of the weeks events.

I've posted some questions, you don't have to answer them. Can just post up your general thoughts.

Tor Hamer: How would you guide his career from here on in? How far can he go?

Showtime: Will they get rid of the Magic Man Antonio Tarver?. If you had the choice would you keep him or let him go? and who would replace him if he were to go?. Malignaggi?

Lucas Matthysse: vs The Other Top 140lb fighters. How does he fair?

Humberto Soto: Hang them up? Been a great career but 140lbs may be a step to far?

Victor Ortiz: If you were his managing him what would be the next move. It's never going to get any better for the lad.

Joseito Lopez: Where next for him? How Impressed were you with him?

And finally @dkos has asked the following..
Kazuto Ioka: Should he move up in weight and pursue a clash with the excellent Roman Gonzalez, or stay at minimumweight and face his mandatory, the dangerous Denver Cuello?

I think Paulie would fancy his chances in that one, nice earner as well!. I don't think his handlers will go out of way to help him now. He's got a long road to come back. They may just chuck him into anything, Have they said the Canelo fight is off yet?. Wouldn't be shocked if it stays on..

Showtime should fire Tarver and I don't think they need to replace him. He wasn't missed last night and Bernstein and Farhood are just fine by me.

Soto can still be in some decent fights at 135 lbs imo. I wouldn't complain if he got a shot at DeMarco or Burns after a little break.

I want to see Matthyse in with a phone booth fighter. Rios, Alvarado or Maidana.

I still would like the Berto fight for Ortiz but it's likely he will push for the rematch with Lopez and I am not complaining about that either. I do think Lopez should go back to 140 lbs though. Alvarado would be my pick for him.

Id advise Ortiz to fight on, fuck the haters, regardless of what anyone says about the lad, all his fights are entertaining. Thats what matters at the end of the day.
too many people calling him a quitter today....boxing with a broken jaw isn't the trivial issue a lot of people posting online today seem to think it is

It's a shame about Tarver, really hope the B sample comes back negative but it seems very unlikely. And as good a commentator as I think he is Showtime should fire him. Bring BJ Flores in he's been good for NBC.

Tor Hamer: Get him in with Price or Fury and he'll get a few decent paydays and an oppurtunity to build on his Prizefighter success.

Showtime: They should show Tarver the door, I like him as a commentator, but the bottom line is he's a cheating scumbag.

Matthysse: The only 140 fighter I can see beating him is JMM, he'd batter Khan IMO.

Soto: Shouldn't hang em up, but go back to Lightweight where there aren't any killers like Matthyse, and he won't have such a size disadvantage, fights with Vasquez and Demarco would be entertaining.

Ortiz: It's a tough one, but he'll always be in entertaining fights and can still pick up a belt, this loss could really dent his already fragile state of mind though.

Lopez: He impressed me, he's a solid operator, Kell Brook? He'd certainly test him.

Ortiz has a rematch clause apparently, not sure if he'd want it though. Even early on he looked lost at times and it wasn't like Lopez was doing anything spectacular.

Lopez came in at only 144 lbs last night and I hope he wiggles out of it to move back down.
Strange having a rematch clause where the title was the WBC Silver belt.
