It's the Welterweight prizefighter this evening. Mark Thompson is by far the most experienced in the comp, but my pick is Dale Evans. In his four wins to date, he has stopped all apart from the very tough Kevin McCauley. He is a good pressure fighter who works the body well.
Boxing News have picked 2010 ABA finalist Glenn Foot, but I'm not convinced. He'll stop Steven Pearce on the 1st round tho, who is a swarmer without much of a dig.
While I'm picking Evans, Dave Coldwell's Chad Gaynor could upset the bookies. He is very active & stopped Johnny Greaves in a round.
To sum up, Dale Evans at 7/1 is terrific value in my opinion. Gaynor is 4s and could easily make the final tonight.
